Why do i have shooting pains down the side of my forearm while doing bicep curls?

It's down the side of my forearm when i drop one of the biceps i have shooting pains down it, it's also just down the side of my right forearm. Could it be the muscle isn't strong enough for the weight?|||you are straining the muscle....x

What are the most affordable and reliable pistols for practical shooting?

I've been a big fan of pistol shooting since I was a kid, now that my friends are in to it too, im thinking of buying my own practical shooting pistol =) but I want to purchase a very reliable one in accuracy, easy to maintain - durable, customizable for balanced weight and the usual. My friends got a Beretta-m92f and another is the Glock17 which one should I purchase too and can you suggest any other pistol great for practical shooting?|||First thing now this is my view Sense some may disagrees. I'm from alabama and it may sound weird to you but I believe the gun picks you (so to speak). Go to your local dealer, flea market, swap meet etc. Do not intend on buying one you just want to hold them. Feel the weight difference, safety features, clip discharge see where im going with this. Shop around and find the one you want, the one that fits you. My first pistol was my grandfathers 22 revolver. Then I brought a HI-POINT 9mm. Its ok shoots very well. But it just wasn't me. It has no hammer, no decocker and the safety is under par. Then I found her a Rugar P-89 which is also a 9mm. She has everything i wanted including the decocker. Beautiful polished steel just a great gun. Great shooting just great. The HI-POINT sold for new @ $140.00 and the RUGAR sold new @ $350.00 but know this you get what you pay for.|||Sig Saur P226 is the best bet for what you are looking for. GREAT pistol, reliable, and somewhat affordable. All the government agencies use them for that reason. It has great balance and the somewhat heavier weight on the slide reduces recoil.

Once you start to become experienced and look into spending a little bit more, look into Kimber.

Good luck|||Going into practical shooting isn't cheap. If you are really into it, the best bet would be going into a gun store and check what you want and not what the gun dealer could offer. In short, feel the gun yourself and test fire it (if possible). Reliable pistols has it's worth and it is not cheap.|||SigSauer PP229

How does an AC 130 looks when shooting from the sky?

I like things like this and I seen how it looks when shooting down but how does it look if you on the ground looking up at it shooting down|||It's beautiful, when it's supporting you.|||I am becoming an AC 130 pilot so I am glad I saw this question. There are a few main guns. There's a large cannon, a smaller canon, and a high caliber machine gun. I forgot their exact mm size. For the canons, you will see a bright light coming from the canon along with an eerie sound. It will only be a matter of seconds before it hits the ground. For the high caliber gun, you may see some tracers, but not too much.|||You will see small flashes from the 105mm and 40mm. There may be tracers from the miniguns, it depends on the load.

Gunships are usually night fliers and are fairly high, so there isn't much to see.|||I'm pretty sure no one can answer your question because the Taliban that could answer this question don't have the time to make a yahoo answers account because they are too busy being dead.|||A few glimpses here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpyFMEKQy鈥?/a>|||It looks like the Devil with wings is what it looks like.|||Go to:

Type in AC 130 Spectre. There are several movies.|||LOL no one lives when this thing shoots at you! I play modern warfare 2 and you can look up and c it shooting but you only get a second or too. It just looks like a big plane with guns on the side and bottom....then you die. LOL|||play Modern Warfare 2.

How much money does it take to get started on a shooting hobby?

I'm getting close to the right age in my state, and thinking of buying a firearm. I have hunted before, but I'm not that good of a shot, so I'd mostly just keep it for range shooting and stuff. How much money does it take to buy a shotgun/rifle and what cost yearly? Any estimate would work nicely.|||You can pick up a .22 rifle for under $250.

500 rounds of .22LR for about $20

Hearing protection runs $12 or so at Walmart

And my gun club is $22 a year.

If you want more guns or shoot more than 500 rounds a year it's going to cost more|||Generally it's best to start out with an old reliable that has stood the test of time as nearly everyones first gun. A good .22 rifle, or more specifically a bolt action .22 rifle.

You can still buy one new from many different manufacturers for $150 to $200. You can also find many used bolt action .22 rifles for $100

The benefits from starting with one of these is that they are very easy to shoot, have no recoil, are very quiet compared to all other guns and the ammo is very cheap at $1.60 for 50 rounds.

If you don't feel comfortable with the open sights you can buy a good 3-9X40 scope for an additional $35-$40.

No matter the case have someone with more experience teach you how to handle the firearm safely then how to shoot it properly.

Gun ranges are typically expensive so unless your going to be very serious about shooting your gun it might be best to head for the outdoors with a mentor and find a safe place to shoot where it's legal to do so.

Once you feel comfortable with a .22 you can move up at your own pace (or budget) into more and better firearms for your collection.|||it depends, new or used and what caliber/gauge

a new break action shotgun can be as cheap as $100

a used break action shotgun can be cheaper than $100(i saw a used 12 gauge for $75 and considered getting it)

a used pump action shotgun can be as cheap as $160 or less

a new single shot .22 can be as cheap as $100

a new semi auto .22 can be as cheap as $150

a military surplus mosin nagant can be $80 or cheaper at a gun show

a military surplus sks can be had for $350

a .308 or .223 bolt action can be had for around $300

12 gauge ammo is around $.25 cents for skeet shot

.22 ammo is around $.03 a shot

7.62x39mm for an sks or ak 47 is around $.25 a round

.223 is around $.25 a round

.308 can be had for around $.35 a round

military surplus ammo for the mosin nagant can be had for $.21 cents a round, but you have to clean the gun after shooting because the ammo is corrosive and will start corroding the barrel after about day i think

EDIT:

if your gonna get a shotgun and can handle a 12 gauge, get one as they have the cheapest ammo|||I saved for 12 years by the time I turned 18 so I could buy a gun. Had $3700 saved up. Even that I spent carefully, My first rifle, magazines, targets, ammunition was around $350.

A Marlin 925r .22lr bolt action rifle ($149.95 at Big 5 Sporting Goods)

A case of Walmart .22lr ammo (5,500 rounds for $103) the first of 4 cases and 10 year's supply of .22lr ammo

A half dozen spare 10 rd magazines ($50)

$25 for DROS and $5 for dealer's fee.

A bunch of cheap paper targets, pack of 100, 50 yard small bore rifle type ($5)

since then somethings have increase in price- ammo for example I believe walmart still has no .22lr in stock. Instead of 9.97 per brick, you'll be spending $22.50 per 500 rds.

My Marlin 925r rifle is still being sold at Big 5, but at the lowest its around $179.99.

So the basics- $180 for a rifle, $25 for ammo, $5 for targets, $11 for cleaning kit, $30 for DROS/fee, its $250 or so to get into shooting.

Less if you have previous experience and able to buy a used .22lr in good condition via PPT sales. Then you can get it for under $200.|||What kind of range?

You shoot 'clays' with a shot-gun, Paper targets with a rifle.

If you're just starting out, start with the .22 rifle and paper targets.

You'll need 'lotsa' practice and the ammo is the cheapest you can get for it.

( About 5 cents a shot for .22 vs 50 %26amp; up for that shot-gun.)

You'll spend about $200-300 for a good servicable

.22 rifle,

$25-30 on eye and ear protection and some targets,

and that's all you really need to get a start.|||Well son, your question is pretty vague. A rifle can range from $100 to many thousands. The same is true with a shotgun.

Ammo pricing is also subjective. You can buy 500 .22lr cartridges for $10 or pay around $80 for one .700 Nitro.

I'd recommend getting a nice bolt action .22LR or a Ruger 10-22 rifle to start out with. They are cheap to buy and to feed. You will be able to practice you shooting skills with out breaking the bank.|||How much? Here's a rough breakdown:

Rifle/shotgun - Medium Cost Ranges $350-$600

Scope - $100-$550

Ammo - depends on how much shooting at $12/20 rounds or 500 rounds of .22 - $35 per box

Cleaning Kit - $40

Range fee - best to join as a member $15 per session or $90-$140 per year membership

Targets - $5-$15 per package (depends on what). You can always just shoot paper plates

Eye and Ear protection - $15-$100

So, for the first year $715 - $1790 going 10 times to the range.

Second year and so forth $270 - $500 (excludes cost of firearm).|||If your just going to be target shooting get a shotgun so you can shoot skeet. You could get a remington 870 mossberg 500 or a cheap stoeger double for about $300 im not sure how the quality is on the stoegers though.|||Man, if you want to know how much it costs to get started ill tell you, about 200-600 for a nice gun, rifle. 150 yearly for rounds and whatever your range fee is.|||i would say between 300-1000 depending on what want you want. You could buy a .22 cal for next to nothing but when you start to get bigger you spend more money.|||Your looking at $700-$1000 to get started, get enough ammo, cleaning supplies, the gun and classes if you wish to take them.|||A Marlin Model 60 will set you back less than $200.

550rds of Federal .22 LR cost around $15 at Walmart

To check for a range in your area.

http://www.USAshooting.com//clubMap.php|||varies in price from $200 up.If you on a tight budget get decent secondhand gun this will save you lots of money that you could use to buy a decent scope.|||it costs your morals, conscience and soul :)

Is there a good shooting army game like black ops?

I'm looking for a fun shooting game for my son who is 13 years old, like black ops, but I think black ops is too violent.

Can you give me a suggestion of a game like that without too many violent scenes?|||no offense to your son but are you sure he is mature enough to play COD? I mean when I play there is a bunch of kids like your son who think cause it is the wee morning hours they can curse people out. And they don't have a mature attitude towards fellow players. The mic setup I have allows my family to hear my teammates and when one of them starts cursing my kids hear this and think it is alright to curse in this manner. I'm just asking that if he does curse people try to monitor him. On a different note, if your son is mature enough I would suggest games like Battlefield, Resistance, Gears Of War, Bulletstorm, Red Dead Redemption, Killzone, Halo, and Crysis 2. Hope this helps.|||Shooting games ALL have violent scenes. specially blood. But i can think of a few: Battlefield Bad Company Vietnam, Crysis, Halo, Operation Flashpoint and the new Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3. The Single Players are really bloody so dont let him play in singleplayer mode. The fun thing is the multiplayer mode online.

Theres also Battlefield 2. No blood or profanity at all it is a great game but it came out in 2005 i think and i dont think he'll like that. I hope these selections will help!|||IF YOU HAVE A PS3 THEN MAG IS A FUN GAME|||stop being so strict, he'll like that|||I'm not sure, but there are fun games online on sites like miniclip.com Sorry for the rubbish answer, nothing really comes to mind

What are these sharp shooting pains I am getting in my uterus?

I got my peak on my fertility monitor on early Friday morning and today my monitor is back down to low. I am assuming I ovulated on Saturday so I am counting today as 2 dpo. I am getting these horrible shooting pains up my crotch area? Any ideas? I obviosuly know it is too early to know if I am pregnant, I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this....Cycle day 20 by the way! Thanks!|||I would suggest consult a doctor |||Well, I got sharp shooting pains in my groin region when I was pregnant. I was about 11 weeks pregnant though! So, who knows? Maybe you are pregnant and your body is already stretching. . .|||i would ask your doctor for the real answer to that qusetion

How can I get more backspin when I'm shooting a basketball?

I need to get more backspin when I'm shooting a basketball in a game situation. I know the fundamentals and have practiced basic shooting technique, but I still have trouble getting good spin in a catch-and-shoot situation, or pulling up a shot off the dribble. I also struggle getting good spin on free-throws because of sticky hands covered in sweat. Can anybody help me with this?|||hmm, maybe use some kind of baby powder if your really desperate about the sweating hands, but for the spin, just try practicing at home. Aim higher and put your wrist way into it, you'll find a balance eventually, good luck|||flick your wrist more|||Use your finger tips to shoot the basketball for spin and stability|||right when you let go of the ball flick your wrist and fingertips|||Tip of fingers should roll off the ball as you shoot, index finger being the last to touch it.
