What is the best cheap single shot shotgun for shooting clays?

I am looking to buy a 12ga single shot for shooting clay pigeons. I am looking to spend less than $140. I have been looking at the Rossi and H%26amp;R but dont know which would be best for shooting clays between them. Any insight would help.|||$75-$100 should get you a nice single-shot H%26amp;R/NEF in 12 gauge.

Try looking for "Harrington %26amp; Richardson" or "New England Firearms" (same company).|||The H%26amp;R single shot is the way to go... cheap and definitely reliable....

That said, I haven't seen one come with a recoil pad, so keep that in mind and use the extra money from the 140 to get a recoil pad as this gun kicks pretty good (light gun).

It's not a pretty gun by any means, but does it shoot? Yes. Reliable? Very. Great gun.|||get an H%26amp;R

I inherited one from my great uncle. The shotgun is almost 90 years old, fed a family through the great depression, and served as the General purpose farm shotgun for a very long time. The stock is now cracked, and the foregrip is held on with electrical tape, but she still shoots well.|||For $140 you can get a used maverick 88 pump action, for $188 you can get a new one at walmart.|||Id go with the H%26amp;R, just because theyre easier to find, and therefore cheaper and easier to find parts for.|||Either H %26amp; R or Rossi. H %26amp; R are a little easier to find.|||Both those manufacturers are good. The H%26amp;Rs are more common, in the US at least, and finding a used one for little money isn't a problem.|||You can pick up some real nice used ones at gunshows, gunshops, even pawnshops! Use Google and there are tons of them online! :)
