What is the likelihood of getting caught shooting illegal fireworks on the 4th of July?

I live in Colorado and I want to shoot off some good fireworks, but what is the likelihood of me being caught shooting them, and also, if I was caught, what would happen. What charges would i be facing?

THANKS! =D|||1 in 50000 unless u do it in front of a cop cause everyone is going to be doing it... that might be a problem since cops are gonna be swarming the major roads... im not dure on the charges u woud face type it into google|||Whether or not you'll get caught has a lot of factors. Most depend on where you are and how your neighbors are. If you have neighbors who are likely to call the cops or you're near a major roadway where someone might see and call the cops, then yes, it is likely.

I found a news article from 2007 that states: "Fines for violating Colorado fireworks laws can be up to $750 and six months in jail."

You might want to call your local Fire Marshall to find out what the current law states.|||If you shoot them off next to a bunch of other people shooting them off, the cops can't prove that you were the one shooting them off.

Make sure that you have a back up plan to hide the fireworks or something if you do.

However, if where you live is like where I live, there will be cops driving all around. About two years ago we were caught. They said they were going to give us a warning and put us on "The List."

If we're caught again.....Jail time and a fine, I guess.

Sucks.

No more fireworks here.

So just be careful.|||Well, make sure you live in the middle of a neighborhood; if the cops happen to show up, they can't prove anything, by the time they are there. I do it every year with my family, don't worry.|||You probably won't get caught unless someone reports you.|||Very good chance of fines and possibly jail time.|||Since everyone will be doing it, I suppose the cops will let it slide.
